Three Reasons for Revenge by Dervla McTiernan

I thoroughly enjoyed Three Reasons for Revenge. Dervla McTiernan has crafted an incredibly well-constructed thriller that keeps the story moving from beginning to end. The plot is intricate without ever becoming confusing, and although all the clues are there if you're paying attention, the ending still manages to deliver a genuine surprise.

One of the book's greatest strengths is its subplot, which is just as compelling as the main storyline and adds real depth to the overall narrative. The characters are relatable and believable, making it easy to become invested in their journeys and the choices they make.

As a writer, what impressed me most was the technical brilliance of the novel. Every chapter flows effortlessly into the next, creating a seamless reading experience that constantly encourages you to keep turning the pages. It's a masterclass in pacing and structure, with each scene serving a clear purpose and building naturally towards the conclusion.

Beyond simply being a gripping thriller, Three Reasons for Revenge is exceptionally well written. It's a smart, tightly plotted story that showcases McTiernan's skill not only as a storyteller but also as a craftsman of the genre. If you're looking for a thriller that's both entertaining and technically impressive, this is one I would highly recommend.
